Join Our Free Webinar – Wednesday 25 June at 2pm (BST), Neurodiversity and online psychometrics: How do we level the playing field?

When it comes to online assessments in recruitment, how fair and inclusive are the tools we rely on? That’s the question at the heart of our latest research on neurodiversity in online assessment, exploring how neurodiverse candidates experience online psychometric testing—and what employers can do to improve things.
Join us on Wednesday 25 June at 2pm (BST) for a live webinar hosted by Dr Alan Redman (once referred to as ‘the Dumbledore of psychometric testing’ by ChatGPT) and Chloe Butcher, where they’ll share findings from this original research and what it means for recruitment and talent assessment.
What we set out to explore
This research looked at four core questions faced by organisations using psychometrics to hire:
- Do neurodivergent candidates respond to tests differently than neurotypical ones?
- Are their experiences—navigating, reacting to, and interpreting assessments—markedly different?
- What adjustments should be made to support neurodivergent people during online assessments?
- And how can test and UX design be improved to ensure a fairer playing field for all?
What we discovered
The results were unexpected. Some of the most common assumptions about psychometric testing didn’t hold up under scrutiny. The research uncovered:
- Misconceptions about which groups perform best in assessments
- The impact of time limits—and why they may not be helpful
- How rethinking design and delivery can lead to better outcomes for all candidates
This webinar is for anyone involved in recruitment, D&I, talent assessment, or people strategy—especially those who want to ensure their processes are as inclusive and effective as possible.
What you’ll take away
- Research-backed insights into how neurodivergent candidates experience assessments
- Practical recommendations for improving fairness in test design and delivery
- A fresh perspective on what “best practice” really looks like when it comes to psychometrics
