You should also be able to answer the following questions:<\/p><ul><li><em>&#8221;What services or products do they sell?&#8221;<\/em><\/li><li><em>&#8221;How many countries are they based in?&#8221;<\/em><\/li><li><em>&#8221;What is their core target market?&#8221;<\/em><\/li><li><em>&#8221;Who are their main competitors?&#8221;<\/em><\/li><li><em>&#8221;What are the company values?&#8221;<\/em><\/li><li><em>&#8221;How has the company performed recently?&#8221;<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e28d5fb elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e28d5fb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Thoroughly read any prior\u00a0information you have been sent.<\/strong><\/h4><p>By the time you go to the Assessment Centre you should know the job description and what they\u2019re looking for inside out.<\/p><p>Some companies will send you an information pack beforehand and ask you to do some reading prior to the Assessment Centre day taking place.<\/p><p>If this does happen, then you absolutely <strong>MUST <\/strong>read through the information they\u2019ve sent, and be sure to read it multiple times until you\u2019re confident you can remember any key details you may need during the assessment. If they haven\u2019t sent you anything then don\u2019t be afraid of asking!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-447b90e elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"447b90e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Make sure you know\u00a0where you&#8217;re going and arrive with plenty of time.<\/strong><\/h4><p>Whilst this should be obvious to most people you would be surprised at just how many Assessment Centres see people getting lost en-route and arriving late or flustered.<\/p><p>If you know where you\u2019re going beforehand then it will save you a whole load of potential stress, so make sure you research the location the night before leaving. If you\u2019re driving to the assessment then it\u2019s a good idea to check the parking arrangements before you arrive.<\/p><p>Sometimes things will go wrong despite our best efforts (a road closure or car breaking down), if you\u2019re one of these unlucky souls, then you need to inform your assessor as soon as is physically possible.<\/p><p>If there is a genuine, unavoidable reason then they are likely to understand. However if you don\u2019t tell them and just stroll in late, then it will likely go against you when it comes to the final selection of candidates for the role.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-11af544 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"11af544\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Be polite and respectful with everyone you meet.<\/strong><\/h4><p>Needless to say this should already be the case.<\/p><p>However, being put in an Assessment Centre situation that is out of your comfort zone can stress many people out, and in this state it can be relatively easy to forget your manners and come across as being rude or careless. \u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6704a26 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6704a26\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Do a\u00a0few\u00a0practice tests before arriving.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4><p data-fontsize=\"16\" data-lineheight=\"24\">Quite often employers will ask you to perform some form of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clevry.com\/en\/platform\/assessments\/psychometric-assessments\/\">psychometric assessment<\/a> as part of their Assessment Centre. If you know this to be the case then you should set aside some time beforehand to practice a few tests.<\/p><p>If you can\u2019t find the exact type of test you will be taking, then you should still try the most relevant ones you can find, as this will be good practice, and ease your nerves to give you a better chance of performing well on the day.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b492f0c elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b492f0c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Be confident and brush up on your presentation skills.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4><p>Generally speaking, the more prepared you are, the more confident you should feel going into your Assessment Centre (or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clevry.com\/en\/platform\/assessments\/graduate-assessment-centre-exercises\/\">graduate assessment centre<\/a>).<\/p><p>Often an Assessment Centre day will consist of having to perform some form of presentation either to your interviewers or a group of peers. Even if you don\u2019t have to present anything, it will be good practice to get into, and will help give you the confidence to thrive in any other assessment centre situation that they give you. \u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eccad4f elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"eccad4f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Lunchtime. \u00a0<\/strong><\/h4><p>Even though it\u2019s lunchtime and you\u2019re on a break, it is important to remember that whilst you\u2019re not technically being observed, your behaviour will still be judged and as such you should act as if you would at any other time during the assessment centre.<\/p><p>Therefore you should try and remain as professional as possible and not mess around.<\/p><p>While it may seem like fun to playfully smear your yoghurt on a colleagues face, you will definitely be judged and if you make a bad impression it\u2019ll likely count against you in the selection process. \u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-56e9e10 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"56e9e10\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Avoid being negative at all costs.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4><p data-fontsize=\"16\" data-lineheight=\"24\">This ties in with all the above points.
